Is this estimate generator free?
Yes. No sign-up, no limit on how many quotes you make and no watermark on the PDF. It runs entirely in your browser.
What is the difference between an estimate and an invoice?
An estimate tells a customer what a job will cost before you do it, and is not a request for payment. An invoice comes after the work is agreed or done and is what they pay against. Sending a clear quote first is what prevents arguments about price later.
Should a quote show GST?
If you are registered, yes. Showing the tax means the client sees the full amount payable rather than getting a surprise on the invoice. Set the slab per line and the tax is worked out for you.
Can I add a validity date?
Yes. Use the date field to show how long the price holds. It is the simplest way to protect yourself when material costs move.
How do I get a PDF?
Click download and your browser’s print dialog opens with just the quote on the page. Choose Save as PDF as the destination.
What if I quote regularly?
